More than 20 years ago, Linda and I launched Life’s Treasures Kauai from a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Though I have told this story many times, I have never written it down till now. So here is the story of the first day we opened the door to our new store on Kauai

In 2001, Linda was looking to do something different with her life. She had been working at the Kauai Hospice for several years now and needed a break.

Anyone who has been a hospice volunteer or had a family member as a client there knows that these people are literally angels on Earth.

So when Linda decided she wanted to do something that would be unique, I knew that whatever it was would be very special.

Little did we know how truly life-changing it would be, not only for us, but for everyone who discovered the secret of what we set in motion.

Together, we launched Life’s Treasures Kauai. Its mission was to provide a unique metaphysical healing environment of hard to find, one-of-a-kind items from around the world.

Life’s Treasures Kauai presented itself as a gift store, so that people of all walks of life could experience its welcoming environment and healing energy.

They were invited to explore new worlds of information and opportunities, to exchange ideas, and discover the many avenues available for spiritual growth and the realization of higher realities.

At 10am on October 1, 2001, Life’s Treasures Kauai opened its doors in the small town of Kapaa. It was right at that moment, while driving by the shopping center, that Renee experienced illumination made manifest.

Renee, a local psychic and spiritualist, saw something that she had never seen before.

There was a pillar of white light, raised to the heavens, right in the middle of the small mall in Kapaa. Renee immediately turned her car around to find out what was going on here.

As Renee entered the parking lot, she could see exactly where the pillar of light emanated from. The source of this spiritual wonder was from a small, newly opened gift store.

Linda and I were still getting things setup, as we welcomed our first customers to our store. As Renee introduced herself to us, we were surprised by her first question.

Renee asked, “Who are you? What’s going on here?

We introduced ourselves and told her a little about our new gift store. Renee then asked about the white light pillar and told us she was psychic.

Renee said, “I have never seen such a powerful display of metaphysical energy in my life.”

I said, “So, you can see that?”

Not only could she see the pillar of light, but also other angelic and light beings throughout our newly opened store, she replied.

Seeing that Renee was experiencing all the usually unseen higher realities present in our store, I explained to her exactly what we were doing.

I told her Life’s Treasures Kauai was a metaphysical / healing center disguised as a gift store. One where people of all walks of life could enter and explore, in a relaxed and refreshing environment.

All the while being embraced in liminal light, at the threshold of one’s illumination as the infinite.

Renee was blown away by that answer. She had been in other metaphysical stores many times, but never with the type of light energy or beings that were present here.

Renee pondered, who were we to have created this wonder, here on a little island, in the middle of the Pacific ocean? She knew deep inside her heart that this was an once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed.

Linda and I talked about what happened after Renee left, as we and our store began our journey. We both quietly perceived and acknowledged the miracle that was launched that day on Kauai.

Unknown at that time, synchronicity would become a major part of our story and the events that lead to where we are today.
